Taking aim I shot twice, headshots just like before, and these times at least I was rewarded by the sight of my targets dying. There was a battle raging down on the ground in the lower city too even as I was busy attacking the upper floating city with my army. In the corner of my view, my radar was a hive of activity with thousands of independent signatures moving in the frenzied dance of battle that anyone that wasn't me wouldn't have been able to keep track of. I eyed my suit's radar even as I flew down underneath the flying city weaving around the water dropping down from the city towards the second lower city below it, smack in the middle of a desert stretching as far as the eye could see. My departure from the frenzied heart of the battle in the sky above did not cause it to stop though as the dizzying whirlwind of battle raged on. Turning as hard as I possibly could I dived straight down dropping below the city's rim. Immediately in response came the defender's retaliation so deadly and massive I was forced to use my armor's flight abilities to perform immediate evasive maneuvers. I hit, of course (I was a sniper after all), but even the headshot wasn't enough to drop the defender. My armor's HUD displayed my gun's targeting reticule and taking aim at one of the thirty figures arrayed walls I took a sniper shot aiming for the defender's head. All around me in the air hundreds of power armor suits much like my own weaved a dizzying dance as weapons fire filled the air like an impassible hail storm of death.Īhead and below me was a city that was my target. I didn't respond to it immediately since I needed all my concentration already as my power armor suit jetted across the sky in the middle of pitched battle.
